Ski Season Cabin Leases in Truckee-Tahoe

Private mountain cabins leased by the month, all winter long. Ski Tahoe’s best terrain by day and come home to your own kitchen, laundry, and firepit. No hotel bill, no packing up between trips.

A Winter Basecamp, Not a Weekend Rental

Set at 5,800 feet in the Sierra Nevada, Truckee is where Tahoe’s winter actually lives. Storms stack up on the crest, ski resorts sit in every direction, and Lake Tahoe’s North Shore is about 25 minutes away. Lease for the season and you stop chasing weather windows and Friday traffic. You wake up, check the report, and go.

Lifts & Terrain

Northstar, Palisades Tahoe, Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Donner Ski Ranch, and Tahoe Donner all sit within a short drive of the cabin. Groomers, steeps, night skiing, and a beginner hill for the kids. Lease here and most mornings you are choosing between mountains instead of driving to one.

Nordic & Backcountry

The 600+ miles of trail that carry hikers and riders in summer turn into Nordic track, snowshoe routes, and backcountry approaches once the snow sets. Groomed classic and skate terrain is close, and the Pacific Crest Trail corridor is right there when you want to earn your turns.

Rest Days

Not every day is a powder day. Snowshoe the shoreline at Donner Lake, drive down to Tahoe’s North Shore, or do absolutely nothing on the deck while it keeps snowing. Rest days are part of a long season, and a cabin beats a hotel room for all of them.

Winter in Town

A historic downtown with restaurants, breweries, and boutiques that punch well above the town’s size, plus live music and events that run right through winter. Somewhere real to eat after last chair, which is the difference between a season lease and a long commute.

Built for a Full Season, Not a Long Weekend

These are not your average rentals. Each cabin is a carefully considered retreat with clean lines, quality finishes, and every amenity a full ski season asks for. Room to dry out, spread out, and settle in for months instead of nights.

Truckee sits in the middle of the North Tahoe ski scene, with Northstar, Palisades Tahoe, Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Donner Ski Ranch, and Tahoe Donner all a short drive away, plus Nordic and backcountry terrain, Lake Tahoe’s North Shore about 25 minutes out, and a historic downtown that stays open all winter. It is one of the best year-round bases in the Sierra Nevada.
